Skilled Recognised Graduate Visa Subclass 476
The Skilled Recognised Graduate Visa (Subclass 476) is a temporary visa which allows recent engineering graduates, from recognised and eligible Universities and Institutions, to attain up to 18 months of skilled work experience.
This visa can be applied for either inside or outside of Australia; however you must be outside of Australia during the time of Visa grant, unless you are a New Zealand citizen with a Special Category Visa (Subclass 444).
If you apply for this visa inside Australia, you can be granted a Bridging visa until 28 days after the final decision.
If individuals wish to remain in Australia permanently, they can either get an employer to sponsor them or lodge an Expression of Interest for Skilled Migration.
How do I qualify for the Skilled Recognised Graduate Subclass 476 Visa?
To be eligible for this visa, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have completed an eligible degree qualification in Engineering from a recognised institution
- apply for the visa within the 2 years from the course complement date
- obtained a minimum ‘Competent’ English language ability IELTS result
Age Requirements
Applicants must be under 31 years old
Health & Character
All Australian visa applicants must meet the health and character requirements by providing evidence such as medical clearance/s, Australian police clearance/s, international police clearance/s etc.
What will this visa let me do?
For the valid period of the visa, the applicant and any accompanying family members can:
- work in Australia
- undertake further professional studies in Australia
- travel in and out of Australia
